Theresa Germano, CRNP

Theresa Germano, CRNP, believes in taking a proactive and personalized approach to patient care. She began her career with Lackawanna Medical Group practicing Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, where she developed a strong foundation in caring for patients with a wide range of medical needs and concerns.

More than three years ago, Theresa brought that experience to LMG Wellness, becoming the Lead Nurse Practitioner and helping to grow the Wellness program. In this role, she has helped countless patients reach their weight loss goals, balance their hormones, improve their gut health, and enhance their overall wellness.

Today, Theresa continues to practice in both LMG Wellness and Internal Medicine. She values the opportunity to care for patients from both perspectives, believing that maintaining her Internal Medicine practice complements her work in Wellness and allows her to remain closely connected to the broader medical needs of her patients. This combination gives Theresa a well-rounded perspective when helping patients understand the many factors that can impact how they feel, function, and perform.

Theresa earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton, graduating first in her class, and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Scranton. Before joining Lackawanna Medical Group, Theresa spent five years working in a trauma and ICU step-down unit, gaining extensive experience caring for patients with complex medical needs. Her background in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology has further shaped her understanding of the connection between gut health, hormones, metabolism, weight, and overall health.

At LMG Wellness, Theresa takes the time to look at the whole person. Whether a patient is seeking support with weight management, hormone balance, gut health, energy, or overall wellness, she works to understand the underlying factors that may be contributing to how they feel and develops a personalized approach to care.

Throughout her career, building meaningful relationships and earning the trust of her patients have remained at the heart of Theresa’s approach. She believes that truly understanding her patients is essential to providing the highest level of care—not only when they don’t feel well, but in helping them proactively manage their health and achieve long-term wellness.

“As a nurse practitioner, building relationships with my patients and gaining their trust to deliver only the highest level of care is very important to their overall health—not only when they don’t feel well, but in monitoring their total wellness too.”
